Andhra Pradesh Caste List

In the context of Andhra Pradesh state, the Central Government has released the list of three categories (Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes).

Caste list may be required.

In India, opportunities for upliftment of individuals from socially and educationally disadvantaged groups are provided by providing reservation in government jobs, educational institutions, promotions, educational scholarships and seats or posts in elected bodies.

At present, the reservation percentage for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) in central government jobs and educational institutions is 15%, 7.5%, 27% and 10% respectively.
